IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• The event is age restricted to 13 years and up. All teams are to consist of a Kaumatua (50+), Pākeke (49 – 26), Rangatahi (25 – 18 & Tamariki (17 – 13)
• ‘Pakaitore Rocks’ will be held on the marae for our tamariki 12 years and under
• All teams will receive event bibs to be worn by all members except the swimmer. These can be collected at the Te Oranganui tent on the day when teams check in. You are encouraged to dress up or create a theme for your team
• This is a water only, smoke free event
• Once your team is registered you receive course details and maps
• MANDATORY WATER SAFETY WORKSHOPS:
Water Safety workshops will be held Every Thursday of February at 5:30pm. They will be run by Ned Tapa at his facility next to the Union Boat Club. It is imperative that teams attend these workshops in order to participate in the Funathlon. Please note that the waka used will be Canadaian kayaks.
