Annual Cyclist Perception safety survey 2017/18 Posted on December 6, 2017 by IainW The Active Transport Strategy, which aims to improve connectivity and mobility in our district and prioritise active transport modes such as walking and cycling, was adopted by the Whanganui District Council on 18 July 2017 A focus of this strategy is to promote and increase safety for active transport users, especially cyclists. Because this is the first year of the Active Transport Strategy, the Council is asking cyclists to let them know how safe they feel when using the district’s shared pathways and cycle lanes. Your feedback will be used to create a baseline and will help the Council assess and tailor projects to increase cyclist safety.
